Description

This image was created as part of an experiment studying physics at the University of Potsdam. There is no editing in Photoshop, except the Raw converter.

In the experiment, it was about the making of the Zeeman effect graphically:
Wikipedia:
"The Zeeman effect (IPA: [ze mɑn ː], in English sometimes pronounced / zeɪmən /) is the splitting of a spectral line into several components in the presence of a static magnetic field It is Analogous to the Stark effect, the splitting of a. spectral line into several components in the presence of an electric field. The Zeeman effect is very important in applications examined as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, electron spin resonance spectroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Mössbauer spectroscopy. It may therefore be Utilized to improve accuracy at Atomic absorption spectroscopy. "

The camera was directed into the beam path, where we observe the spectral distribution and interference.
